Introduction
This family is distinguished from other cassiduloid families by the following combination of character states: medium to large sized; petaloid pores strongly conjugate, single pore in all ambulacral plates beyound petals; periproct usually longitudinal and marginal, inframarginal or supramarginal; bourrelets commonly well developed; usually no naked zone in interambulacrum 5 adorally.
