Morum Röding, P.F. 1798. Museum Boltenianum sive Catalogus cimeliorum e tribus regnis naturae quae olim collegerat Joa. Hamburg : Trappii 199 pp. [Date published September 1798] [53] [Museum Boltenianum, 2: 53; Placed on the Official List by Opinion 1040, 1975, Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 32(3): 139. Morum purpureum is a replacement name for Strombus oniscus, and Morum is thus a senior objective synonym of Lambidium and Oniscia].

Type species: Morum purpureum Röding, 1798 by monotypy (= Strombus oniscus Linnaeus, 1767).
