Introduction
The combination of prominent dendritic spiral wrinkles, flared body whorl and relatively narrower V-shaped umbilicus distinguishes Montidelos from Vitellidelos.

Diagnosis
Shell small, subdiscoidal to subglobose; protoconch shiny, with weak radial growth ridges, teleoconch sculpture of prominent, branched (dendritic), spiral wrinkles crossing low ripple-like radial ribs above, shiny with spiral grooves below; body whorl expansive and flared; umbilicus narrow to very wide, V-shaped. Colour brownish-orange to yellow, often with darker streaks.
