Species Monomorium fieldi Forel, 1910

Introduction

After COI barcoding specimens from the monsoonal region of Australia, Andersen et al. (2022) recognised 97 to 300 undescribed species in the Monomorium nigrius Forel Group. This indicates that the species group is in need of taxonomic revision.
