  Type species:

   Tellina distorta Poli, 1791 (by typification of replaced name) by original designation (Nom. nov. pro Moera H. & A. Adams, 1856, non Moera Huebner, 1819 [Lepidoptera], itself a replacement name for Donacilla Gray, 1851, non Blainville, 1819. Fischer cited only Tellina donacina Linnaeus, 1758 as included species [and originally included in Moera], but he did so as an "example" and this does not constitute a valid type species designation under the Code.).
