Introduction
Mixocera Warren, 1901 was based on a misidentified type species and should be referred to the Commission for a ruling. The details are explained in Fletcher (1979) as follows. Prout, 1912, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 129: 242, footnote, has shown that Warren's diagnosis of Mixocera was based on Nemoria parvulata Walker, which Warren had misidentified as Geometra indecretata Walker, [1863], ibidem 26: 1555; thus G. indecretata Walker sensu Warren = Nemoria parvulata Walker, [1863].
