Introduction

It appears there is still debate about the tribal classification of Miltotranes. Hsiao & Oberprieler (2022) note that the genus is placed in the tribe Orthorhinini based on phylogenomic analyses conducted by Shin et al. (2018), but Legalov (2018) recognises it as a member of the tribe Tranini on the basis of morphological characteristics.
