Species Migas nitens Hickman, 1927
- Migas nitens Hickman, V.V. 1927. Studies in Tasmanian spiders. Pt 1. Papers and Proceedings of the Royal Society of Tasmania 1926: 52-86 [24 Feb. 1927] [52].
Type data:
Lectotype QVM 1957/13/22 ♀ adult Type 33 (Hickman (1927) described Migas nitens but mentioned several specimens from two localities: Prince of Wales Bay, Derwent Park and Cornelian Bay, New Town, TAS; the description, however, referred to a single specimen (gave measurements and counts) hence is the holotype. In 1929 he described the adult male which had been collected as an immature (sex not realised) the same date as holotype and the other specimens mentioned. It came from Prince of Wales Bay. QVM catalogue of types lists both specimens as "Holotype" but Hickman did not designate any sort of type in either of his papers. The former is considered the holotype and the later described male has no type standing even though it was part of the original material cited), Cornelian Bay, New Town, TAS.
Paralectotype(s) QVM 1957/13/23 ♂ adult Type 34 (Prince of Wales Bay).
