Introduction

Microdelos pallida is the smallest rhytidid in northern NSW. The combination of small size and very wide umbilicus are diagnostic.

Ecological Descriptors

Dry vine thickets, litter-dwelling, rainforest, under logs.

 

Diagnosis

Shell tiny, pale yellow to white with reddish radial streaks, discoidal with an angular periphery; Protoconch smooth, shiny, upper surface of teleoconch with low radial growth lines and branched spiral wrinkles, spiral grooves below; umbilicus very wide, cup-shaped; diameter 3.5mm.
