  Type species:

   Mesomyzostoma reichenspergeri Remscheid, 1918 by monotypy.

Introduction

Rouse et al. (2016) include an additional form of Mesomyzostoma from Australia as Mesomyzostoma cf. reichenspergeri Remscheid, 1918, however the type specimens of this species appear to be lost and Rouse et al. (2016) were hesitant to identify their material as M. reichenspergeri Remscheid, 1918. We do not include the form here until further work can be conducted to confirm its identity.
