Menechirus oculatus Hartmann, 1901 by original designation.
Introduction
The genus was revised thoroughly by Jennings & Oberprieler (2018), its status as valid genus reinstated, and species redescribed, including the type species, the only member of the tribe known from outside Australia, the New Guinea Menechirus oculatus Hartmann.
