Diagnosis

Head lacking frontal or vertexal foveae, with dorsal postantennal pits; antennal tubercles very prominent; maxillary palpi short, fourth segments gradually widening laterally from bases to near apices, margins then converging to angularly rounded apices. Pronotum with lateral margins ridged in apical half, with indistinct antebasal sulcus, punctiform antebasal foveae present. Elytra with posterolateral margins strongly protruding, broadly subtruncate.
