Adult feeds on cattle, humans, goats, cats, dogs, pigs and birds; good host for semi-periodic Brugia malayi but not the periodic form (based on laboratory observations); important vector of human filariasis; larva collected from shaded pools and small lake with common root vegetable Ipomoea sp.
