Intertidal, marine, sand bottom marine, subtidal.

Extra Ecological Information

Byssally attached, firmly fastened by the byssus in crevices or in holes in coral and calcareous blocks (Kay, 1979) or in muddy sand (Lamrell & Healy, 1998). Depth 1-35 m, immature specimens in less than 1 m while fully developed valves may be dredged between 1-35m (Kay 1979)
