Occurence: Lower Cretaceous to Recent.
Diagnosis
Branchial valve with stout socket ridges and crural bases, swollen bases to hinge teeth, posterior hinge trough, unbifurcated septum loop magadiniform to magellaniiform; foramen permesothyridid. From Moore (1965: H849).
