Introduction
The small family Megaluropidae was established by Thomas & Barnard, 1986 for a group of suspension-feeding taxa that rest upside down on the substrate in a cradle-like position (Thomas & Barnard, 1986). The family was recently recorded by Hughes (2009) from the Great Barrier Reef.
