Introduction
Mariametrids are known from seven genera from the tropical Indo-west-central Pacific region. Four of these are recorded in Australian waters, from five species.
This family is similar to the family Himerometridae but members always have more than 10 arms and the IIBr series, and any other division series comprise two ossicles only.
