  Type data:

   Syntype(s) BMNH 2♀ adults (Enderlein op. cit. gives the location of the types as STM, but according to Broadhead, E. 1950. A revision of the genus Liposcelis Motschulsky with notes on the position of this genus in the order Corrodentia and on the variability of ten Liposcelis species. Transactions of the Entomological Society of London 101(10): 335–388 3 pls 28 figs [369] they are in the BMNH), Stettin Museum, in box of dead insects from Colombia.
• Liposcelis bakeri Pearman, J.V. 1928. Some Psocoptera from the New Hebrides. Entomologist's Monthly Magazine 64: 133-137 figs 1-9 [133].

   Holotype OUM ♀ adult, Hog Harbour, Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu.

   Holotype BMNH ♀ adult, Metropolitan Wharf, London (possibly introduced on West African cacao).
