Comment: originally 5 paratypes, however, according to Barnard, J.L. & Drummond, M.M. 1978. Gammaridean Amphipoda of Australia, Part III: The Phoxocephalidae. Smithson. Contrib. Zool. 245: 1–551 [489], one paratype is a subadult female of Limnopareia yarrague Barnard & Drummond, 1978.Type locality references:
