   Latirus auranticus Montfort, 1810 by original designation.
• Polygona Schumacher, C.F. 1817. Essai d'un Nouveau Systéme des Habitations des vers Testacés. Copenhagen : Schultz 287 pp., pls 1-22. [73, 241] [Polygonum [Blainville, 1826, Dictionnaire des sciences naturelles, 42: 345] is an incorrect subsequent spelling].

  Type species:

   Polygona fusiformis Schumacher, 1817 by monotypy.
• Lathyrus Latrielle, 1825 [Lathyrus first appeared in Schinz, 1825, Das Thierreich... von Cuvier, 4: 588, as an incorrect subsequent spelling of Latirus Montfort, 1810. It has subsequently been treated as emendation and used as a valid name].
• Eolatirus Bellardi, 1884 [I molluschi dei terreni terziarii del Piemonte e della Liguria, 4: 15; also published in Bellardi, 1886, Memorie della Reale Accademia delle Scienze di Torino, ser. 2, 37: 15].

  Type species:

   Latirus praecedens Bellardi, 1884 by monotypy.
• Plesiolatirus Bellardi, 1884 [I molluschi dei terreni terziarii del Piemonte e della Liguria, 4: 32].

  Type species:

   Latirus nodosus Michelotti, 1884 by subsequent designation (Cossmann, 1901, Essais de paléoconchologie comparée, 4: 42).
• Hemipolygona Rovereto, G. 1899. Prime ricerche sinonimiche sui generi dei gasteropodi. Atti della Società Ligustica de Scienze Naturali e Geografiche 10: 101-110 [104] [nom. nov. pro Chascax Watson, 1873, non Ritgen, 1829 [Reptilia]].

  Type species:

   Chascax maderensis R.B. Watson, 1873 by original designation (by typification of replaced name).
