In the Erklärung to plates 75-107 of the same work, published in July 1875, Lamprolepis is given as a synonym of Doratiophora Scott. The name was not first published in synonymy and its availability does not depend on the subsequent use by Hering (1931). It is a junior homonym of Lamprolepis Fitzinger, 1843)
