Introduction

The genus Labidostomma is known from Australia only on the basis of unidentified species, as reported by Hamilton-Smith (1966) (as Labidostoma sp.). Walter et al. (2009) referred to species of Labidostomma (Atyeonella) from Australia, but this appears to be an error, referring to six species from New Zealand, as listed by Feider & Vasiliu (1969).
