Family LISTROPSORALGIDAE Fain, 1965
Introduction
The family Listropsoralgidae was described as a subfamily of Psoroptidae by Fain (1965) and promoted to the family level by by Bochkov et al. (2013). The family includes four genera and 13 species, all of which are ectoparasites of small mammals in South America and Australia. The Australian fauna includes two species in the genus Petauralges, both parasites of marsupials.
