Introduction

Much confusion exist regarding the delineations between galeommatoidean families and there is scant consensus regarding which genera to include in each of the two families used herein. Hence, only a few newer works are refered to as general references.
The included genera in Lasaeidae is based on the compilers knowledge of the group and various more specialised references. Several more families are due to be resurrected from the concurrent lumping of genera, but this cannot be put into effect until this work has been published. A few obvious mistakes in the current classification have been corrected herein, mainly at the species level
