Species Kiefferulus cornishi Martin, 1996
- Kiefferulus cornishi Martin, J. 1996. An annotated bibliography of the cytogenetics of the Chironomidae (Diptera). Occasional Papers on Systematic Entomology 10: 1-209 [nom. nud.; a manuscript name, but has been used in literature, particularly in publications involving molecular studies, see especially Martin, J. et al. (2007) where the cox1, cob and 18S rDNA genes are used and GenBank accession numbers given, along with the voucher specimen from Werribee, Vic., Australia, AV.3.65, sl. 22M, which will be in the ANIC shortly. In other words the species has effectively been DNA-barcoded in DQ648217 (J. Martin pers. comm., 2007)].
