Diagnosis

Non-fistulose, massive, branching or encrusting growth forms; ectosomal skeleton composed of tylotes with microspined bases, lying tangential to surface, intercrossing and in erect brushes; choanosomal skeleton an isodictyal rounded, triangular or square-meshed reticulation of smooth or spined choanosomal styles, arranged singly or in 2–3 per row, with (s.l.) or without (s.s.) echinating acanthostyles; microscleres inequiended bipocilla and palmate anisochelae with spurs, toxas absent.
