Introduction

Insullaoma differs from Paralaoma in having degenerate radial sculpture and very prominent spiral lirae both on the protoconch and teleoconch. Whether the two species included are congeneric is problematic pending more study.

Diagnosis

Shell very small, depressedly globose with a weakly elevated spire; protoconch with numerous, prominent spiral cords, teleoconch with irregularly spaced, weak radial ribs, microsculpture of numerous radial threads and prominent spiral lirae; umbilicus narrow. Colour golden-brown.
