Idiosoma nigrum Main, B.Y. 1952. Notes on the genus Idiosoma, a supposedly rare Western Australian trap-door spider. Western Australian Naturalist 3: 130-137 [15 Sept. 1952] [133].

From eastern edge of Darling Ranges to Kellerberrin in the east, Murchison River in the north (western part of wheatbelt).

Ecological Descriptors

Fossorial, low open woodland, predator, terrestrial.

Extra Ecological Information

In York Gum (Eucalyptus loxophleba) and jam (Acacia acuminata) forests, burrow with thin trapdoor and fan of twig-lines in litter, loamy-clay soils.
