Extralimital distribution—Indonesia (Aru Islands, Irian Jaya, Kei Islands, Maluku), Papua New Guinea, from Maluku to the Bismarck Archipelago.

Ecological Descriptors

Larva: herbivore (associated flora: Dendrobium bigibbum Lindl. & Paxton [ORCHIDACEAE]; Dendrobium canaliculatum R.Br. [ORCHIDACEAE]).

Extra Ecological Information

Larvae feed on flowers of the orchids listed, and are not attended by ants, introduced orchid genera include Cattleya, Phalaenanthe, Phalaenopsis, Renanthera, Vanda.
