Waterhouse, G.A. 1936. [unpublished personal manuscript of observations made at the BMNH (Satyridae, Nymphalidae)]. Photocopy located at ANIC, Canberra, ACT. [9] (suggested the Hunter River, NSW as the locality for the male); Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L. 2001. Lepidoptera: Hesperioidea, Papilionoidea. In Wells, A. & Houston, W.W.K. Zoological Catalogue of Australia. Vol. 31.6. Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia. x 615 pp. (Waterhouse (1936) may have suggested the Hunter River because A.W. Scott reared several species at Ash Is., but the two Hypocysta species that Scott reared were H. euphemia and H. metirius; see Ord, M. 1988. Historical Drawings of Moths and Butterflies, Harriet and Helena Scott: introduced and selected by Marion Ord. Roseville, NSW : Craftsman's House 147 pp. [84]).
