   Holotype AM KL 22861 ♂ (Waterhouse in the original description mentioned a type, stating that it was in the Lyell collection), Duaringa, QLD (designated in original description)
  Comment: Waterhouse, G.A. 1928. Notes on Australian Lycaenidae. Part VI. Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 53: 401–412 [404] (stated that the species was described from a single male, that the holotype was in the Lyell collection); Peters, J.V. 1971. A Catalogue of the Type Specimens of the Hesperioidea and Papilionoidea (Lepidoptera) in the Australian Museum. Greenwich, NSW : Australian Entomological Press 36 pp. [27] (referred to a holotype and gave type information, stating that the holotype was in the AM); Sands, D.P.A. 1986. A revision of the genus Hypochrysops C. & R. Felder. Entomonograph 7: 1–116 [49] (referred to a holotype in the AM and gave type information).
