Nest in cavities in wood, including twig of dead Acacia Miller [Mimoidaceae], flower visiting record: primarily Banksia L.f. [Proteaceae], but in Eastern Australia also recorded from Angophora Cavanilles [Myrtaceae], Callistemon R.Br. [Myrtaceae], Lambertia Sm. [Proteaceae], Leptospermum Forster & G.Forster [Myrtaceae].
