Adults and juveniles: aquatic, predator, rock bottom–freshwater.

Feeds on freshwater snails, insects, worms and crustaceans.
Diagnosis
Five pairs of gastric caeca, five pairs of testisacs, five to seven rows of darkly pigmented papillae, one pair of eyes.
