Introduction
Based on several studies (Meredith et al., 2008; Phillips et al., 2013) the genus Macropus was split by Jackson & Groves (2015), by raising the subgenera Macropus (Macropus), Macropus (Notamacropus) and Macropus (Osphranter) to genus level. This arrangement was further supported by the results of Celik et al. (2019).
