Species Halisotoma pritchardi (Womersley, 1936)
- Isotoma pritchardi Womersley, H. 1936. Further records and descriptions of Australian Collembola. Records of the South Australian Museum (Adelaide) 5(4): 475-485 [478] [Isotoma pritchardi was transferred to the genus Halisotoma by Bagnall, R.S. 1949. Contributions towards a knowledge of the Isotomidae (Collembola). VII–XV. Annals and Magazine of Natural History 12 2: 82–96 solely on the basis of Womersley's original description and without Bagnall examining types of the species; the diagnostic character, however, for Halisotoma was not mentioned by Womersley in his description (presence of two spatulate and apically fringed setae distally and externally on tibiotarsus II) and this character has not been observed on the syntype in the SAMA or on adult females and males from other localities; consequently this species may correctly belong in Isotoma sensu stricto].
