Introduction

Glyptopupoides egregia resembles some Pupoides spp. but has an axially ribbed shell that lacks apertural barriers. Uncommon throughout its range.

Diagnosis

Shell very small, waxy brown, elongately cylindrical; sculpture of moderately spaced weak axial ribs and spiral threads; aperture ovate, without any teeth or lamellae, lip moderately reflected; height to 3.7 mm.
