Extra Ecological Information

Nest in dead, dry pithy stems (Hydrangea L. [Hydrangeaceae], Verbena L. [Verbenaceae]), basically subsocial, each female founding and maintaining her own nest, all immature stages found in the communal chamber, larvae fed progressively, flower visiting record: Wahlenbergia Roth [Campanulaceae].
