- Gibbula concinnus Pilsbry, H.A. 1890. Manual of Conchology. Philadelphia : Academy of Natural Sciences Philadelphia Series 1, Vol. 11 pp. 209-519. [issued 7 March 1890; pls 1-50 published 1889; pls 51-67 published 1890] [230, pl. 40, figs 8, 9] [the authorship for this species is given as either Dunker, 1889 or Pilsbry, 1890. Pilsbry (1890) attributed the authorship to Dunker, but goes on to explain that it probably was a manuscript name that was not described by Dunker. Therefore the name dates from Pilsbry who provided the first description and illustrations].

Extra Distribution Information
Western Pacific. The distribution of Gibbula concinna is equivocal: Hedley (1899) says that Gibbula concinna is known only from Upolu, Samoa; Jansen (2000) states that Gibbula (Eurytrochus) maccullochi (Masthead Island, QLD) is "possibly synonymous with G. concinna"; Wilson (1993) lists Eurytrochus concinnus (Dunker, 1889) as from QLD and the Western Pacific; and the Australian Musuem while it has two specimens, none are from Australia (D. Beechey pers. comm.)
