Paratype(s) BMNH 1♀ (Waterhouse, G.A. 1936. [unpublished personal manuscript of observations made at the BMNH (Papilionidae, Pieridae, Danainae)]. Photocopy located at ANIC, Canberra, ACT. 29 pp. [25] stated that in BMNH there was a female with the same accession number not marked as a type)

Comment: Bryk in the original use of the name referred to a description of an aberration by Waterhouse & Lyell on p. 23; Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L. 2001. Lepidoptera: Hesperioidea, Papilionoidea. In Wells, A. & Houston, W.W.K. Zoological Catalogue of Australia. Vol. 31.6. Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia. x 615 pp. (this specimen has not been traced but should be in AM; the original mention by Bryk, although referring to an aberration used the term form, thus making the name available).
