Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia. x 615 pp. (Parson's (1998) reference to a holotype is not accepted as a lectotype designation as he knew of no original specimen).
Type locality: possibly Ambon (Maluku, Indonesia (as Halmaheira, Dodinga); (given in original description), see Ackery, P.R. & Vane-Wright, R.I. 1984. Milkweed Butterflies their Cladistics and Biology being an account of the natural history of the Danainae, a subfamily of the Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae. London : British Museum (Natural History) 425 pp. [234] (suggested that Ambon, Indonesia was the type locality).
