Ecological Descriptors
Colonial, filter-feeder, sessile, subtidal.
Notes
The synonymy of E. excavata has been made too wide: the species appears to be limited to Port Phillip Heads area. It is probable that several other species occur in Australian waters. E.centrota is a distinct species.
