Generic Combinations
- Erina delospila (Waterhouse, 1903).
Introduction
Orr and Fliedner (2011) suggested that the correct spelling of the species is delospilus on the basis that the author intended the name delospila to be a feminine adjective.
Braby (2011) questions this interpretation because the author’s original intention is unknown and the second part of the name is derived from a Greek noun, meaning a spot. Being delospila a noun. it is used in apposition it should be therefore retained in its original form
