Introduction
Originally placed in Coccoidea in error by Tepper (1893). This placement rejected by contemporary and later entomologists. Thought to be a psyllid by Fernald (1903) but not included in Hodkinson (1983). Placed in Cecidomyiidae by Taylor (1960) and this placement confirmed by Kolesik et al. (2023).
