Records of the Australian Museum 14(4): 243-270 [Date published 9 April] [257, pl. 42, figs 12-13] [name emended to Emarginula amitina].

Holotype AM C.53775 dry, east of Ulladulla, New South Wales, Australia. 135 m depth [35°19'58.8'S, 150°46'58.8'E].

Introduction
This species has been known in Australian literature as Emarginula dilecta, but Macpherson (1966) has shown that this is not an Australian species.
