Holotype FMNH 11729, Toolbrunup, WA. - Tropidolepisma richardi Peters, W. 1869. Mitteilung über Saurier. Monatsberichte der Königlichen Preussischen Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Berlin 1869: 786-790 [787] [provenance of only known specimen (the holotype) is doubtful, as it is identical in most respects to Egernia carinata Smith, 1939 from southern WA and over which its name has precedence if the two are considered, as here, to be conspecific].
