Paralectotype(s) BMNH adults, sexes unknown (McLachlan, R. 1899. Ectopsocus briggsi, a new genus and species of Psocidae found in England. Entomologist's Monthly Magazine 35: 277–278 illustr. [277] mentions fourteen specimens, which he considered probably to be females; he does not mention a holotype but catalogue in BMNH list holotype and paratypes; lectotype designation has not been traced). - Ectopsocus limbatus Navás, L. 1909.
