Extra Distribution Information

This species has a circum-Australian distribution, and also widely distributed throughout the Indo-west Pacific (Hooper 1991, Hooper et al. 2008). In Australia it is particularly common in tropical waters on both sides of the continent. It is also recorded from Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia.
