Holotype AM C.102253 dry, on algae, semi-exposed reef, Near Hopetoun Jetty, Western Australia, 5 Feb. 1972, coll. W. F. Ponder [33°57'0"S,120°7'1.2"E].
Paratype(s) AM C. 102254 (20 specimens total, 3 wet); SAMA D. 15253 (3 specimens); WAM 405-76 (3 specimens); AM Stubs 234, 265, 292, 492, 507 (10 shells, 1 operculum, and 2 radulae).
