Introduction
The family Eudiocrinidae is found from the Maldive Islands, Indian Ocean to Japan and south to Australia. Only one is genus known and it is represented in Australian waters by one species.
The eudiocrinids are distinguished in the order Comatulida by the following combination of character states: arms five only; union between ossicles of the IBr series is (like the Zygometridae) by syzygy; first brachial syzygy at 3+4, second often at 8+9, third at 13+14.
