Family EREMULIDAE Grandjean, 1965
Introduction
In the classification of Schatz et al. (2011), the family Eremulidae includes four genera and 53 species world-wide. Most of the known species are placed in the genus Eremulus, which is very widespread in tropical and temperate parts of the world. The Australian fauna is very poorly known, with only a single identified species from South Australia, which itself appears to be cosmopolitan (Subias 2004, 2011). There are also isolated records of a second species in New South Wales and Queensland, which remains unidentified (Colloff & Halliday 1998).
